E-Zines
One of the most recent technological advancements in digital
media is the e-zine, an electronic magazine. Not only do e-zines
offer the look and feel of a real magazine, but they are reduced
to very small file sizes by way of very impressive compression
software. (Eg: An A4, 40 page magazine, being reduced to
1.7 Mb ) They can include sounds, mouse-overs, direct links
to Internet sites and e-mail addresses. Their applications
are endless. E-Zines require no Internet connectivity once
downloaded and are fully functional even when the computer
is off-line.
E-Zines are a very affordable alternative to the physical
printing of brochures or catalogues intended for circulation to
identified prospects or clients. They have the added advantage
of accommodating post-published changes – unlike printed
matter that requires costly reprinting. |
